Why Go Natural

Natural hair... what does that mean? Well in the African American community or other ethnic people that have thick, curly or wavy have that has not been processed to make straight. More and more women have gone the natural route.

Going natural is not for everyone. It takes a lot of time and patience to care for natural hair. Keep it moist is key. Women of color have a wide variety of textures and curl patterns. Finding the right product can be extremely difficult with all the natural hair care products on the market. Companies are making a lot of money off this new / old trend of un processed hair care.  So what is the alternative to buying over the counter hair care products.

Natural products are becoming increasingly popular because more and more people have realized the damaging side effects that chemically enhanced products can have on the human body. Shampoos, soaps, detergents, and body washes made of natural and homemade ingredients help you keep your body clean, healthy, and chemical-free. Here are just a few reasons you should be using natural products.

Natural Products Are Better for the Environment

Products made with natural and organic materials result in less toxic waste being dumped into the waterways. This results in less pollution. Since organic products are renewable, they are much safer for the environment.

Natural Products Are Very Affordable
The words organic or natural are not synonyms for expensive. With the growing popularity of naturally formulated products, more and more manufacturers are beginning to offer products that they like to label as “chemical free.” However, individuals can easily make all natural products with organic ingredients in their own home.  Since natural products require cheaper natural resources, it is unnecessary to purchase expensive and hazardous chemicals. Ingredients like Olive oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Coconut oil, and many more of these types of oils are great for the hair.

Natural ingredients have been used by humans for thousands of years. Homemade products are safer to use, and they promote better health.

Whether it is shampoo, soap, detergent, or body wash that you’re using, you’re better off going all natural!
